A tiny amount will turn the water and anything it touches into a bright neon green. Over miles and days this dye dilutes to a point where it must be absorbed with charcoal placed at likely springs. The charcoal is then analyzed and compared with other traps to get a model of the underground drainage. Also used to trace leaky sewer lines, pool jokes, etc.
