Harp Trap Applications / Curly's Carpet Entrance
2004 John Chenger

This is one of a number of entrances into a very extensive limestone mine. Two traps were deployed, one placed perpendicular to the other at the entrance. This is to take advantage of the swarming pattern bats will make in front of obstructions. In this way, the trap on the right captures 2-4 times as many bats as the traditional "across the mouth" setup.
