This is a small sinkhole dropping a few feet into a fissure a few hundred feet long. Three 6' Forest Strainer harp traps were placed near the gate and over a small ungated fissure. ~100 bats were captured. Since this is a pit we wanted the trap as close to the ground as possible. Note how the trap legs were easily set to compensate for the uneven ground and allowed the trap to be as low as possible.
