St. Albans and Scary Creek
Dave was finally done playing with ticks over along Bills Creek and initiated a new site (17) near St. Albans. Similar to the Charleston area, St. Albans is rather developed and difficult to locate a suitable mist net site with constricted flyway corridors. Dave chose a Kanawah backwater pond area, though the water was too deep to get any nets into "bay".

Both sites, St. Albans and the second night at Scary Creek were both fruitless, despite the triple high at the Scary Creek wetland being a sentinal to all night flying critters near it.

Left: Double high nets around St. Albans, and around more poision ivy than even the evil wetland site at quarry creek. Glad I was off that day!
