We were finally able to complete site#3 on Wheeler Island after yesterday's rain day. Four net sets were in place, including a triple high setup but to no avail. I am starting to consider that perhaps these critters would rather not fly over the vast open waters of the mighty Kanawha.

Our second team spent the night at the Isle of McDonalds site, and also struck out. The Isle of McDonalds looked like it should be the prime coridor for bat movement from Smithers to the Kanawha. Well, it wasn't. Saw lots of the Smithers police department, who suggested a few sites that we may come back to later in the summer. Talked to locals passing by, no hot leads, no hot rumors.
