Dawn Return
What happens when a large summer bat colony decides to return at dawn? When thousands of bats decide its time to come home, the show is very impressive. Instead of simply leaving the roost and disappearing, at dawn these animals dramatically swarm the roost. This activity was recorded at a managed church central Pennsylvania. Each summer nearly 20,000 little brown bats make this their home. As an insurance policy for the unusual situation, a Bat Condo was installed nearby.
